Razor MX650 battery tray upgrade — clean custom battery installs
Running a custom battery in your MX650? Stop strapping it to whatever's down there. The Ampirra tray gives it a real home — plus a hidden AirTag mount so your bike can tell you where it went.
Open up the battery bay
Power off, unplug the battery connector, and open the MX650's battery compartment. If you're still on the stock lead-acid bricks, this is the moment they retire.
Pull the old setup
Remove the stock batteries and any straps, foam, or zip-tie engineering holding your current battery in place. You want a bare bay before the tray goes in.
Drop in the AirTag first
The underside of the tray has a built-in AirTag mount with double-sided tape already applied. Peel, press, done — once the tray is installed, the AirTag is completely hidden. Easiest anti-theft upgrade you'll ever do.
Mount the tray
Set the tray into the frame — it's shaped for the MX650, so it sits where the stock batteries lived. Fasten it down so it doesn't shift under braking or landings.
Strap your battery down
Use the multiple strap slots to lock your battery in — the slots let you position straps for whatever size pack you're running. Route your power leads cleanly, reconnect, and give the battery a hard shake test before you close it up.
